    SWB Sheet Metal

I need to make a repair to the area surrounding and directly below the driver-side (LH) headlight wire tube on a 1965-built '66. The area is circled in the picture below, but on the driver side. Is this reproduced or do I need to find a cut from a donor?

My fab guy just build this section for me. Take a photo of the specific area that you need, how much from to back...etc. I'll show it to him and get you a quote.

Thanks Chris. Between the 100L tanks and that picture above, looks like your man has talent. I'll get details of what I need to you this weekend.

That is nice metal work, of course it's an LWB. Does your guy have an SWB buck to work from?

With the exception of the wiring "J" tube, I think the majority of the sheet metal is very similar. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Bill, either way, I will get a rough quote for you and if you are interested, you can cut your rust out to good weldable metal and send me the buggered up piece and he will make you a new one based off from that. He usually uses 18g sheet metal so it will be nice to weld to and more rust resistant.

Chris, I think you are correct, the profile under the battery box is similar.

Guys- look closely at the profile-- the SWB piece has a huge ridge that bulges out around the headlamp tube. The LWB piece is flat.
