Carol of "Just Carol's" passed away

I heard about her passing this weekend. She was only 55. I just spoke to her a few weeks ago and she sounded upbeat. She was a staple in the Bay area concourse community, both as a judge and competitor. She restored Porsches for decades, many memorable 356s and 911s. She was the go to person for Bosch wiring issues. She also was a racer and one of the few female Porsche mechanics. Good customer and great friend. I'll miss her charming wit.

    Harvey.

please tell me you're not talking about Carol Beech, the grey-haired lady in the attached photo helping prepare the light-blue 356 for the 2011 Palo Alto Concours.

    Yes, that Carol.

We will miss her and the support she provided the Concours scene throughout many years.

Harvey, I did not know Carol, but I'm so sorry that you've lost a friend. Any loss in our Porsche community is a loss to us all.

I knew her. She recently finished some work on my car a few months ago. I knew she was sick and her time was short. She will be missed.

You would have liked her. Her passion to detail and originality was truly enjoyable to be around. Last time Sue and I delivered a set of wheels, we spent an hour discussing things from the wiring details of a roadster to the pedigree of her dog "notour".
BTW, thanks to Joe for telling me the news.

That is such awful news to hear! I didn't even know she was ill. She was always so helpful with advice as I was doing my restoration. She will be surely missed by the Porsche community. RIP

Very sad to hear. I've known a few folks that have had Carol work on their cars. She had an excellent reputation for getting the job done right and was willing to invest serious time to do so.
Very sad loss for the community.
