I hope Jerry Murray sees this thread because he also calls these Oscars... I call them Pallas. Either way... good luck with the sale. They look very nice.

Not that I don't trust the seller, but how can one tell the difference between a repro pair and an original pair? Are there any markings that would do that? Thanks.

I have an original set and a set of repros and I have to say that amazingly, the repros were completely and exactly identical to the originals -- including the stickers on the inside. The only thing the repro set didn't have is the yellow bulb covers. It's pretty impressive.

The repro's don't have the yellow globes that cover the H1 bulb socket that these have.
The inner rings would be fresh yellow zinc plated with clean white plastic receivers an the nuts/bolts on the bottom would be silver zinc coated.
Probably in 10 years time you would not be able to tell the difference
Other than that I don't believe there is much difference. (Rene did a great job on the repro's...)
