Also, just to be clear. There is a section on each runner flange that seems to be chipped or ground away. It's on the outer flange and does not effect the function of the manifolds but it is worth noting. No surprises here. Not sure why this was done or if it was a casting flaw, never really bothered me....it's not like I could just grab another set The flange is absolutely not cracked, I have seen these crack from over tightening and that is not the case. It is very obvious that there has never been a nut/washer on the flange.

Just to be clear: Someone may have intended to install these on MFI heads. The notches would be to clear the injector block-off plugs.

Yes, good thinking Frank. Just to be clear, the flange is not cracked or damaged in any way. These will function perfectly.

Below are a couple of photos; the first are my 911R Mag Tall Intakes, but for a normally aspirated engine, no notches. The second photo are the same Tall Mag Intakes, but for my 906 engine, also normally aspirated and also no notches.

Note the differences between these two intakes and how their linkage assembly is installed. One obviously being a mid-engine...

By the way Craig, your 911R intakes are beautiful...
