195/60/15 on front with Deep6 and 205/60/15 on rear with 7R

Anyone like this combo for a slightly lowered stance and staggered look? They are both available in goodyear GT V rated. Seems like a decent choice for a car set up with Euro ride spec or perhaps a bit lower.

I know some do the 205/60 with 196/65 on the fronts. Wondering if the fact that the front tire is a bit taller in that scenario bugs anyone??

Would love to here thoughts or see pictures...

    Best,

    Alex

The 185/65 and 205/60 is the best combo for SWBs with 6&7R IMHO.... but as you can see they aren't available in Goodyear GT V rated. I think you'll like the 195/60 with the 205/60. The 195/65 and 205/60 looks to me like the front tire is way taller even though it is only marginally taller in diameter.

    Hey Harvey

What about same wheels on 72 911? What tires would you run?

On LWBs you can use larger tires. Depending on the brand. We have put these sizes on....stockish height tires 195/65 (or185/70) with 215/60... or 205/60 with 215/60....or short height tires 205/50(or55) and 225/50 (or45)....or the SWB recommend sizes also work well. The not recommended 225/60s usually rub. Street sizes.. Race is different.

Harvey, I am getting ready to install 7's all the way around on my 73S. Not 7R's. Will 195/65's work on all four corners? I think 25 years ago I ran 205/60's on the same wheels. Would like to not have to buy new tires. Running 195's now on my 6's. Thanks

Okay - so at long last here are the wheels mounted up with 205/60/15 on the 7R weldups on the rear and 195/60/15 on the deep 6s up front. Full tank of gas so the front maybe sitting just a bit lower than my eye sees as ideal, or maybe the rear needs to drop down some - but overall I think the tires strikes a nice balance. I thought I would post just for anyone else trying to figure out the various combinations of wheels and tires.

    Best,

    Alex

    Alex,
Can't get over how good that color looks on your car..
Yes, lower the rear a tad..and maybe raise the front a tad while are aligning it also.
    JMHO.

Yes, they should work if you had 205/60s before. Just watch the inner fender about 2" up from the lip for contact on full bounce. Also some aggressive camber helps.

Yup - I'm going to do an alignment and corner balancing pretty soon. I think your comments are spot on. Thanks for the compliment on the color. I really love it! So many people tried to steer me away from it, but I think it came out great and I'm happy that its not a run of the mill look....

Thanks for your help along the way...

    Best,

    Alex
