    WTD Pair front struts

    Hi guys,

After a pair of front struts/uprights. Need with 3.5 spacing for callipers and I'm not worried what brand of insert they are for.

    Thanks

I have a spare pair, how do I check the 3.5 spacing. They are off a 1973 911E.

Neville, if they're off a '73 they should be 3.5". You measure the distance between the centre of the two threaded ears that the callipers bolt to.

    Neville,

These would be fine. Send me a PM with your details and price, My brother is in Adelaide right next to Mark Pooles. I can get him to sort out freight.

    Thanks

My 73E has 3 inch spacing (M calipers)
Only 3.5 inch if have S calipers

However depending on what your regs are you can bolt on aluminium brembo AM calipers from a 70's alfa with the 3 inch spacing (they run BMW 3 series pads and look like a S caliper but are not monobloc)
Eric Shea sells them at PMB here they are http://www.pmbperformance.com/catalo...52/6862358.htm

    i have a set
    FANTASTIC!!!

but may not pass your scrutineering depending on regs and how good the scrutineers are

Good to know, thanks Hugh. I presumed the later units were all 3.5 leading into the G series.

    Hugh,

No need to recommend cheater bits to ProAmPritchard - he's quite capable of finding them himself...

The short answer is they are not.

However, Tim was allowed to retain his provided he kept the stock hinge pieces as well, which had the body and lid parts not connected to each other.
