    WTB: 1965 911 engine complete?

Hello I have a 1965 911 less engine and would like to see if there are any 2.0 solex type engines out there.
I have this car on E Bay and may be able to sell your engine with the car. All 3 of us would win in that deal.
Let me know what you have and location with pictures. Thanks George

    Hi George.
You've likely already seen it, but this engine has been up on ebay for a while. Maybe the seller would be willing to make a deal. (Not mine)

My apologies, I don't have my early engine # refs on hand and was just going by what year the seller was advertising.

Not sure about the motor number being way off; perhaps the price.

My reference shows that a 1965 motor would run 900361 through 903550. I hope that's correct, as I have motor 903547. But, I'm no expert.

Never hurts to ask. I've done some pretty good deals with these guys over the last 2 years, including a resto project car.

I don't see center lube cams. I think that ended in Feb of 1966. So the motor would be after that date. For a 1966 car.

Rick center lube ended around Dec. 65. Jan 66 had spray bar.

Thanks for the good info Richard, so this motor would for sure be for a 1966 MY car.

Def. MY66. This engine number 903188 is Nov. 65, and around VIN 303000. Of course it could have been a factory 'issue engine' and be installed in a later VIN from the start on.
