    Thank you.

Nice intro to the Classic shops. Did anyone else notice one of the 232 car in the ending fade out. It has one of those tall engine grilles.

    Hello Bob,

I saw this video over at Pelican and asked the following question?

Cool video, so they are actually working on a '64 911 over there.
Is that the one Porsche Classic showed in Essen?

    Anyone has some info...? (-:

Do you know which one it is?

Awesomely cool info here on the archival / restorative powers of Porsche.

I DID notice Bob, but only because you pointed out the same with your early 232, TK !

I simply love the fact that Porsche cares so much about the history and preservation of their own, they are inspired to do this at this level. And, am quite sure the lucrative attainment of more Euros to the coffers is a prime motivator also......

    Wunderbar !

Joost, yes I understand it was the same car Porsche Classic had shown at Essen.

It had been published back in the day from California in a book by Henry Rasmussen "The Top Ten" "Porsche Six Cylinder Supercars" It's looking like it has a new owner from Germany...how fitting.

Pulling stars like Herbert Linge in on the details is masterful. From what I have heard he kept extensive notes on every car they prep'ed - just as he did during the Mille Miglia from 1954 and the 1965 Monte Carlo and even when he stunt drove for Steve McQueen in his movie.

    Don, yes details - details.
