When was the last 1973 long hood built? What are the VIN ending #'s for each model?

I was just curious and couldn't find this via search. I just bought a 1973.5 911T Targa with VIN ending in 2247 that has a build of July 1973. On the COA Porsche has the build date as unknown. I know they build 1302 of these and it looks like mine is towards the very end but I was just curious how close?

    Thanks!

I reckon you would need the production number, not the VIN.
Mine has VIN #1870 of 1875 produced T coupes in 1973. It does however not mean that there's only 5 more longhood cars produced in 1973.
Mine was delivered to its first owner on July 1st 1973 which means there was approx 20 production days after.

Yours was delivered in July of 1973, mine was built in July of 1973 so the earliest it would have been delivered is about September. Mine had it's first delivery service 9/21/73. I am curious if anybody knows when the last 73 911 of any variety was built? It looks like mine was in the last 55 73.5 T targa's built.
From what I have seen it looks like the 73.5 CIS cars were the last models built. Does anybody know the last E and S models were built?

Not disagreeing with the fact the 73.5 in general could be the last ones built, but the distance from Stuttgart to Verona is only 600km compared to having to ship a car for delivery to the US (assuming every 73.5/CIS was for the US market).
So unless they build certain types of cars first (which i don't believe is the case - i always thought they determined if they were going to build an 'S', an 'E' or a 'T' based on orders) i do think mine was probably made in June, which would make sense looking at the VIN.
So i would be interested to see what evidence you have seen to prove the 73.5 CIS were last.

Very true about the difference in distance! I don't have any basis in fact other than the fact that I have seen quite a few 73.5 T's that were made in June and July of 1973 and haven't seen another 73 that was produced in July other than a 73.5T. Arguably that is a very small sample size, hence the fact I wanted to open it up for discussion here.

So I guess my question is who else has a 73 built in July of 1973? If you have one what model is it and what is the VIN #?

My 73 E Coupe was built (i think) in June 73 rather than July. It is #1306 out of 1366 E coupe's built in the 1973 MY.
However more importantly its production number is 8915 out of the 9447 1973 MY coupes produced (of all varieties - The targas has another production number series)
It also happens to be the highest chassis number E coupe delivered in Australia and was delivered in September 1973.
the production number means that while there were only 60 E coupes built after mine there were 532 coupes in total built after mine (take away the 60 E's that means 472 split between T's, S's and RS's)

so it would be interesting to know the (last 4 digits) of the production numbers for these late Coupes

And for the Targas: the last production number for the Targas should be about (113) 5574 I believe. It would be interesting to see how close a car 55 from the end of the 73.5 T targas is from the end of all targas. I am betting that is it less than 150 away.

On the original question I agree with Cliff that the last 73.5 US spec T Targa was #2302 making yours about 55 from the end.

Patrick what is your production number if you don't mind sharing it? I am guessing it is higher than 8915
