Well.. I think I am going to keep the 914 race car this motor came in, and let someone that needs an original numbered 69 S motor get the opportunity to put it in their car. What we do know about this motor: The motor was raced for several POC seasons till it was over revved. Broken rockers resulted. I bought the car, with little history, then found the poor compression due to busted rockers. The valves must have smacked the pistons square because compression numbers are good. The motor runs, had good compression, good oil pressure numbers, but it should really be taken apart, inspected and freshened up.
It does have titanium retainers, race springs, and purportedly 2.2 displacement. The webers (no injection) are in great condition. Currently has the 914-6 headers and oil cooler, which i will be keeping for this new (to me) vintage racer. Motor will come with the fan/alternator, weber set up.
