Momo Prototipo question - proper integration with turn signal

I have a 1971 911T. A long time ago, I sold my original S steering wheel for $200 and replaced it with a Momo Prototipo. It's a great wheel and it feels like I'm driving a go kart now, plus I don't have to swing my legs under the wheel anymore.

Anywho. I can't get the steering wheel to work with my (once replaced) turn signal stalk. No matter how I set it up, either it won't cancel one of my directional signals and it remains unsafely "on" or I have it positioned now such that I can't even use the right turn signal switch since it cancels it at from straight ahead.

My question is, at what o'clock should I position the wheel such that I can properly use my turn signals?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Well, a pic would help a lot, to make sure you have the right stuff. Normally, the turn cancel tab on the hub is at 3 o'clock, and the cancellers on the switch are in the housing at 9 o'clock.

you would think that would work but it doesn't cancel the right turn signal and Tom Amon from mobile works west puts it at 6PM which doesn't work either. Porboys says the stalk needs to be replaced.

I just want to know what o'clock the rest of you have for your prototipos.

3 oclock looking at the back of the wheel maybe? Looking at the wheel in driving position, the cancel tab should be at 9 oclock centered on the turn signal switch. Then it should cancel when the wheel is turned +\- 90 degrees.

Sounds to me like the hub might not be oriented properly to the wheel

So, the answer is: I bought a new Turn Signal Stalk (from Autohauz for $170) and put the Momo Prototipo signal cancel at 9 o'clock like DeJong suggested. Now I can safely signal!
