    Sunvisors for 1973 cars

I have the originals in the car and they are looking pretty bad. It is the typical inner foam break down accompanied by them having no shape.

Does anyone know of a company that successfully restores them?

    Thanks,

    John

Make sure the off white 'Ivory' is the right second color to the black....
The new ones I've been seeing lately the 'ivory' is a much darker color... I'd call it tan.

I ended up buying a good pair of used ones......

The headliner is black and so too are the sun visors. I thought about buying that new set and attempting to dye the ivory side, but I think the vinyl grain is different.

    Anyone else have any thoughts?

I ordered a set recently and here's how it looks next to my old (dirty) sunvisor. I think it'll be fine. The seam around the edges doesn't look as clean as the original one...

Are they available in 'all black'?

I seem to recall, someone, somewhere, suggested cutting a tiny hole in the visors, and with a spray adhesive with a small tube, spray the insides of the visor, then put a light flat weight on it. When it dries, you've got nice flat visors again with of course the right material. I still have not gotten around to it.

I bought the new "classic" visors and wasn't a big fan. I ended up returning them.
My problem was that the inner pivot point heat sealing made a big flat flap of vinyl that wouldn't rotate in the clip/clamp without eventually tearing. Additionally, the outboard screw was pretty crummy at keeping the visors up against the headliner. They ended up kind of bouncing when driving.
Has anyone else made similar observations? I'd love to get a nice set of correct visors, but these just didn't work for me.
