I read through this entire thread last night for the first time. What an epic journey! The ups and down were incredible. I had seen many or you postings on the Tech Forum. Great to see that you have the car at home, under your care and are enjoying it.

Thanks Tom. There are several parts I sourced from you in the car. It really was a community effort! And what a great community it is.

I discovered your thread late last night, and read/studied it in its entirety (6.5 hours!). I had cleaned up my '72E some years ago to an 8/10 level. The beautifully detailed and explained information in this thread, both by Ravi and other contributors, has energized and compelled me to: 1) use the info which I have gleaned/learned from this thread to bring my car to 9/10 (mostly minor items, but visible to connoisseurs); 2) start driving and enjoying it again (I had pretty-much stopped driving it a few years ago when odometer reached 99,500.)
Ravi, I am also very happy for you as it seems your illness has subsided and you are really enjoying your new treasure.
I also thank all those who have contributed relevant, hard-to-find, and insightful content to this thread.

Excited enough to wake up at 4:30 am and head down to Port Stanley on Lake Erie to watch the sunrise. Glorious!

Ravi,
So good to see you drive and enjoy the car as Porsche intended. 4:30 am is a little to early for me to be on the road, congrats. Great photo.

We have only fur babies, but this was my father’s day gift. One of a myriad of authentic finishing touches.
Also, happy summer solstice everyone!

What an amazing build story. I love that you persevered through all of the ups and downs and stayed true to the build. You have a truly amazing 911S to be proud of. Thanks for sharing all of it.
Been driving all summer, until the snow fell this week. So haven’t been online much between that and work.
But just got the Early S calendar in the mail today and I have to say my calendar girl looks pretty good as Miss January. Buy your calendars now. https://shop.early911sregistry.org/p...istry-calendar
As usual a great job by Chuck and the gang.
Hope everyone is staying safe surfing the corona waves.
