W351-e Sports Purposes ti rods code?

I'm looking into this now, from a position of little knowledge
In the '68 S.P's booklet, the ti rods are listed for 911L GP5 or 911T GP3 (but not 911S)
Part number is given as 901.103.012.03
Has anyone got access to some of these rods, that they could photograph and post?

Here is a ti rod, but with a different 901 part number.
Any advise on this heritage? - weighs about 401gm which seems to be about 40>50gm less than the
later 934/935/959/962 units, in as much as I have managed to research.

What part number do the Carrera 6 (906) engine rods have? presumably not 901...

    Thanks for any insight.

I have more questions to come, with regard to crank fitment.

Chris - my initial thoughts are that it's another one of those situations where you shouldn't confuse part numbers with forging numbers.

According to Armando's 914/6 GT website there were Titanium conrods with 2 different forging numbers used in Carrera 6 engines:

    901.103.102.01
    &
    901.105.102.01

Maybe the Factory used different part numbers according to whether the rods were supplied for 911R, 914/6 GT or 906 engines ...

Of course, I could be completely wrong !
