They could not find a BMW to use?

Bobby, did you make an offer? Tell them that I want those Fuchs.

Appeared to be real Fuchs. I figured the engine would be removed but there was a VW type IV in place. Does not make sense as only the 912 E had the type IV. I admit to being a little upset with a LH car on display like this until I saw the floor pans. They were totally consumed with rust. Still....a nice tribute to the popularity of the cars that we love in a location that thousands will see.

So, what point are they trying to make here that I must be missing? I see all the tree roots? The tour signs.

Looks like a 68 to me except for the 69- vented basket handle.

Floors can be replaced, admittedly this car has led an unloved life but deserves better than to be a static display.

Verbolten is a theme park ride that starts out with a leisurely ride down the autobahn. Lightning strikes the car and it's diverted into the Black Forest. That's when the "fun" begins. I'm guessing the display is supposed to represent what could happen during the ride. This car looks much better in the photos than in person and even though it is shame to do this to a LH, this car would be marginal at best as a restoration project (before the display conversion) LOL.
