Thread: LWB speaker suggestions?

    LWB speaker suggestions?

My excellent stereo installer is stumped by my Targa. He'd like to remove the door pockets, recover them, and install speakers with grills. I really don't want to remove excellent door covers and put new non-original ones on there. I've seen the doors with the speakers in the pockets and grills mounted to the outside of the pockets. Looks a little strange but seems to work. Any other suggestions? I don't want loud, I just want good.

Brian, I wouldn't let a stereo installer anywhere near my doors!! I have seen what they do, it's not pretty. They seem to have a penchant for using 3" long crating screws after they lose all the original hardware. What I think is better is to let them build/replace the rear parcel deck with one with speakers installed. That way they don't mess up anything that can't be easily replaced. I've got an old one I could take pictures of for ideas if you'd like, or heck, I'd even sell it for a paltry sum.
