    Air cleaner snout

My question is...how come some of the air cleaner snout point at 7 o clock, and others point at 5 o clock..? Why Some are cut short ? May be for ac reason. I have ac and it points at 5 o'clock...and is cut short...is this right....tried flipping it around but the tabs are wrong...

Can someone enlighten me on this...

    Thanks

    Hey, Lemuel . . .

Dunno --- guess mine's a 5 o'clocker. (And there's a hose missing, connecting that little lower inlet to another outlet up front, on the right side)

Now, as I recall, yours is a European car --- yes? Mine, too! . . . but no AC. When you say that your snout's 'cut short' . . . is it actually cut? --- like, sawed-off? . . . or is it properly formed/flared, factory-looking?

    Any pictures to show?

Also, I see that you're in LA. If you ever have some time, might be fun to get two 'Euro' cars together . . . look at stuff like this
