    Emergency jack for 73 911

My 73 911 came without a factory jack, so I'm looking for something to carry in the car for emergencies. Any suggestions as to what works?

Porsche 944 aluminium lightweight scissors jack.

You can pick them up for ~$20 on ebay over here (UK).

    Thanks, Andy.

I've read previous posts about jack points. I don't want to use the factory jack receivers, so what are preferred jacking locations? I would use the suspension tubes in the front. How about the rear?

I always hated the factory jack as it was very unstable. I now carry a jack point extension that slides into the original jacking points but has a flat round plate and an aluminum screw type jack with a broad base from, you'll love this, a RR R type. It has a long handle that slots into the jack and you wind it up.

Thanks all, sounds like I just need to pick up a scissors jack. In checking around, the 944 jacks are available for $40-$50 delivered.

I see several 944 jacks one is a scissors which has a groove interface at the top. Another is a scissors with a raised oval boss on top and finally there is one that is a lever jack not a scissors and it has the same rasied boss - I think it's for 928.
