    idiot lights - 906 / 917

    i have these nos lights from the 60's and was wondering if they are the correct ones used in the 906 etc...

    Sorry Charlie....they ain't da ones!

    Marco at 11 parts has the og "Type" ones. You can get them from Hella. They are close enough to use.

    A quick search on ebay.de with:

    kontrollleuchten or kontrollleuchte

    Can find the orgi type for 5€ each...

    917 warning lamps / idiot lights

    Here are the two correct 917 light housings I have...

    I'm still missing the light colored amber or yellow lamp and would be more than happy to find either one.

    Do you know of someone that has the amber or yellow lamp they may be willing to sell? Thanks!

    Listed below are the most typical and common applications for these warning lamps;

    RED
    = Alternator Fan

    GREEN
    = Oil Pressure

    LIGHT YELLOW / AMBER
    = Low Fuel Level

    ORANGE = Fuel Pressure (fuel leak or...)<!-- END user desc -->

    LAMPS or LIGHT SOCKETS for 917 Warning Lamps / Idiot Lights

    I forgot to ask if anyone has ANY photos showing the lamps and lamp sockets used by the 917 in the above photos. Can you post those here?

    Note the copper spring-connector incorporated into the plastic housing of the warning lamps.

    WEBMASTER: This thread should be moved to he Technical Section and not left here under "Other Porsche Passions". My .02 cents...
