380 Wheel hub extender and getting the horn to work

The horn probe which I purchased (the long one) clearly is to long and the result is that the horn is on all the time. The plastic housing is actually some where around 3/8 too long and it along with the metal contact end extends that distance back up towards the horn pad resulting in constant contact. Has anyone used the standard shorter for early cars with 914 wheels and David's hub extender. Before I go buy the short one I just want to confirm that it works as I'm just concerned that the short one is going to be too short.

    Any helpful thoughts?

    Thanks so much,

    Best,

    Alex

    Hi Alex.
The standard long horn contact (914 part number) should work just fine. This is the standard contact for an extended hub.
Do you have the extra support washer installed? If not, the rubber horn button cup doesn't have anything to support it. The result, constant horn honking.

    Hope it's an easy fix.
