    Pikes Peak on Fire?

Not yet. But the Waldo Canyon fire has about doubled in size since I last checked the map this morning It is now encroaching on Hwy 24. I'm pretty sure my motel on the east side of 24 is in imminent danger. Pikes Peak entrance is on the west side of Hwy 24. The entire event looks like it is in jeopardy. 10 days to go.

Looking even worse today. Hwy 24 is closed from Colorado Springs to Woodland Park. And Pikes Peak Highway is completely closed.

Oh my gosh Curt, this fire is apocalyptic for the those in the foothills of Colorado Springs. I had no idea how bad it has become and there is no end in site for them.

Well, the PPIHC organizers called the event yesterday. It's "postponed". We've been improving the STi we took last year and won AWD Time Attack with. This will give us a little bit more development time.

I've got a lot of friends in the area. Some have houses in the affected area, but many of them depend on tourism and racing for their livelihood. I hope the people and the area recover quickly.

I'm glad they did the right thing in postponing the event. This has turned into a major league disaster.
