Can anyone post a picture detailing the rear section without the light bodes fitted

I have seen some where a picture of a SWB chassis without the rear lights fitted, and it looks to me different from the latter chassis, where they are opened.

I really need to check this detail for the restoration of my SWB.

I will really appreciate if someone could post some details of this area.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mtemp!

    Nice work on your car.

My 68T chassis has been, at some point, converted to SC look and now I am building it back to its original condition.

I have heard that the rear boxe's light were closed verticaly and mine are open as the latter chassis.
I need this photos to try to recreate a SWB original light box.

If you can post some detail of the vertical panel on a closer shot, I'll apreciate.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Here is a photo showing the area I need the detail:

Sorry they're the best I have - the car is all boxed up now.

They're pretty hi-res pictures though so downloading and enlarging them might help.

No I don't I'm afraid, and they are very hard to come by in Europe because of the weather/lack of original protection combination. I did find a pair, and also found it easier to fit them with a section of the rear wing, rather than just the light box, as getting the old one out causes so much distortion of the rear wing unless you are very careful - and also that section of the rear wing is usually in as bad a state as the lightbox.

Actually I lie ...... I think I do have one poor one attached to an old section of rear wing in my shed somewhere. Do you just want more detailed measurements/photos?
Anyway let me know and I'll see what I can do.

    Senility approaches .....

That is where I found them.

If you can not afford Jim's prices than making them yourself is probably your next best alternative
