Inspector of Explosives with Qld Gov... It's a long story, but I have a 'background' and the government has a need

I'm only relieving the role for for 6 months at this stage to see if I like it. There's a fair bit of travel at the moment and we're short staffed; I've already been told xmas and new are no chance for leave

We shall now call you Bombcop !

I wouldn't like to be you when travelling through border security and those people with random tests for traces of explosives.

I don't defuse... I just tell the bomb squad what they're dealing with and stand right back Most of the responsibility is in the mining industry.

Airport thing has already happened. It's pretty funny as they're condition to hear "No" when they ask about explosives. When you say "Yep, I've been in possession of explosives", the look is quizzical and then they run to a supervisor

I'll have to find my old shotfirer's ticket (true story).

Ps. Does this new job mean that your run for El Presidente of the Q. Cooper fan club was unsuccessful?

Quade and I remain firm, but I have to find time for other things...

I have to re-do my ticket. Did the Coal Board medical yesterday... not pretty. Apparently I'm a centimeter shorter and several kilos heavier than I thought - close to obese BMI now!
