Different Rear Swing Arms - which is correct for a '69 car

OK, today I was with my mechanic and he's found I have two different rear swing arms (trailing arms) on my '69 911E race car.

Looking at the photos, the difference is in the last end part of the leg, the conical shaped bit that attaches to the shock.

I suspect one is original and one is not. Question is which is which ??

    Second question , who's got one ??

    Thanks for any help.

First photo is LHSIMG_0395.jpgIMG_0396.jpg and second is RHS.

Looks like the left one has been modified or repaired? It's definitely the odd one.

    John and Ryan thanks

I'll send MN a copy of this photo of a 72-72 arm and get him to check RC's car as it is a '69 too.

Next problem is to find one .....

^^^^ That's what you need Andy

I now suspect the geometry could be different... the later versions mounted the shock strut in combination with the different cross member above which has different (bigger) apertures. This is the issue when you fit later alloy arms to the older chassis.

    Cool

Perhaps this explains Andy's great performances in the wet?

He had a special 3 wheel steering early 911, with trick suspension! Smokey Yunick style (the fellow who scaled down a Nascar, because the rules did not forbid it).
