Have you ever seen these fender lips before?

I recently purchased a 1970 911T that has been off the road for a few years.
While looking the car over when I was inspecting it, I noticed it had these black fender lips/protectors. They are rubber, and are held on with clips. They seem to fit well. I plan to take them off, but thought I'd ask if anyone else has seen these before. Were they an accessory from the dealers?
