new member and new car in dubai

    hi there

im a new member and i have just bought a 1972 T from Mark Allen who is on this forum as well

its a two owner car with almost full service recored and 74k miles

i was on holiday in the USA and was looking around at classic cars and went to a few car shows and cars and coffee in irvine..

i went and saw a few 911's and thought this was the car for me

im new to old porsches this will be my first 911, i had a irish green 356 c coupe when i was a uni student in boston..

and im a owner of a beautiful w111 mercedes 280 se 3.5 coupe

i liked the history and the feel of the car Mark had

the work the will be done is adding a AC system that must work in the heat of dubai, mark has been kind enough to share the process on his web site for all of us to see

This was the 1st thing I thought about if I was to drive my car in Dubai.

    Great looking car. Enjoy her...

Congrats. That car was the subject of my 2nd post here. http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ntake-question

I was going to put a deposit down on that car 4 weeks ago (had written the cheque) when I stumbled across my 911S. That T is beautiful and well documented. Mark Allen was very patient answering questions, and I still wonder if I didn't make a mistake. It was very pricey, at the top of the T price range, but I think it is worth it for a car with a fully documented history.
Take good care of it !

Welcome and congratulations. This is a fantastic car based on the photos and description. Certainly the best T model ('72 MFI coupe) to own in a great color too. The documentented history is also a huge plus. Don't worry about paying top of market for a top quality car, especially if you are a 'history buff' like alot of us are.

Congratulations, looks like a fine car. I would be very interested in the details of the A/C system, please keep us informed.

sweet car, are you going with a Griffiths system for the a/c? You'll need those additional condensers for Dubai.
