    Sportomatic Transmission

Are there any shops that specialize and can work on Sportomatic Transmissions in the USA?

They are not hard to work on. The trans itself is basically no different than a regular std trans. Parts may be a problem, but there are used ones around. Do you have a gear type problem, electrical, vacuum, etc/

No problem yet, I received a call from a guy yesterday wondering if I knew someone to work on one. Funny thing is I looked at a 71 yesterday with a Sporto in it and wondered if I would be stuck if it broke. Also hoping the guy that called might read this post. So is there a known shop or parts supply?

Ron, Frank Beck of Beck's European in Scottsdale, AZ has Sporto parts I believe. At least he mentioned that on one of the Sporto threads Raj started. And he loooves Sporto cars...

I've been told by several on this board that Robert Wessels at Dutch Treat in Lawndale, CA has expertise with Sportos. Had I planned better I'd have sent my T to him to fettle out its Sporto before shipping it here back East. http://www.dutchtreat.org has his contact information.
