Clean 1973 911 S Coupe Hollywood Hills Garage Find...(not mine)

Paul's Dad (Ed) from the AutoKennel was pulling this car out of the garage last week and I asked him what the deal was. He said the owner lived in Hollywood Hills and hadn't really driven the car more than 250 or so miles in the last decade because he really didn't know how to drive stick shift. I thought this was strange. However, he said his best friend willed it to him before he passed away and he felt bad about selling it. Anyway, here is a pic and you can go to Paul and Ed's site for more details:

Sweet. Looks pretty original except for the steering wheel and radio and dash (no separate speaker grille). Nicely maintained. Not a crazy price, but no pictures of the full undercarriage ?

I may be wrong, but isn't this the car that the law student inherited from his professor? There is a terriffic article about here on the Registry somewhere.

Nope, it has been in a Hollywood Hills garage for about 10 years. The owner is an attorney in his late 60's. When his friend passed away, he was given the car. He really didn't know how to use a manual shift that well, so he pretty much just started the car every week and let it warm up and once a year (with the help of a neighbor), got the car down to the local mechanic to change the oil...that's about it. He always felt guilty about selling it because of his emotional connection to the car, but garage space is a premium where he lives and he can't store it any longer.

Also, my dad is posting some under carriage photos of the car shortly on our website. It is very clean with no rust. There was a stain on the floor where there was a tranny leak, but the leak has been repaired.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Paul

Very sweet car, just the normal mods most of us made in the 80's but easily reversible. Every time I see one of this COA's the more worthless they seem. Just a Certificate Of Additional income for Porsche. I mean #77 and they don't know when it was built or the list price for the car?

    Hi David,

I totally agree with you. I tell people that the only thing they usually get right are the numbers, the model, and maybe the color. We found out that the car was sympathetically restored around the early 80's when the 2nd owner bought the car. He basically went through his "nesting" phase of making the car his own, plus, the local Los Angeles Porsche dealer talked him into buying all the stuff when they serviced the car.
