    71S engine 6311534

Offering for sale this 1971 911S engine no 6311534 type 911/02
Barrels marked 84ZD3, casting numbers on cylinder heads are K1819h and all are dated either 12-70 or 1-71 (correct MFI heads, with plugs installed in the ports). I have a custom built shipping crate that I can include as well, to enable safe transport around the world.

    The back story:
This motor was in a 69T I bought several years ago. The car had been sitting on the side of the owner's house in North Hollywood for almost 20 years as a result of a minor fender-bender (he opened the door into traffic and he refused to drive the car afterwards). Prior to the accident, the motor was rebuilt, and I have a lot of documentation and photographs of the engine work from the late 80's. From these records and the odometer readings, I believe this motor has less than 30k miles on the rebuild, with an aggressive cam and the high-compression 2.2S pistons and cylinders. The car was not running when I acquired her, but the engine turns over easily and the intake & exhaust ports look good. I have not done a compression test, but this could be performed easily as the engine is still mated to the 901 trans that was in the car. My plan was to use the car and motor as the basis for a narrow body hot rod or potential race car. Work has progressed intermittently on the race car project in between other work. Given the value of the engine, I would prefer to sell it and use or build something else for the race car project. While I think the engine would probably be a fine runner as is, at this point, I would expect to disassemble, inspect, clean and repair parts as needed. It has been stored inside since removal from the car. Please feel free to email or PM me with any questions.
    Thanks

A few inquiries but still available. I may have some MFI components that could be included with the motor. In addition, we can perform a compression and leakdown if desired. Thx
