    Greetings from a '69 911T

Hello all, long-time lurker, first time poster. My name is Tim and I have had my 69 T for about 8 years now and wanted to introduce myself and the car on here. It has about 123k on the clock, was repainted in the early 90's, and had some major rust restoration (floor and front pan) done shortly after I bought it by a local shop (Philly suburbs). Car is in solid overall shape, consistently gets compliments from purist and layman alike, and was featured at the local Porsche dealer's 991 launch party as part of the generational display. Engine is mostly original with an MSD ignition upgrade...I drive it about once a week to every other week, but have been getting a bit of plug fouling lately and wanted to get thoughts on best plugs to run in here....any input would be much appreciated!

Pretty car, welcome to the boards. You'll find (if you haven't already!) that the Philly metro area is a growing hotbed of early 911 activity. Hope over to the ErsteGruppe forum and see what's going on. I look forward to seeing your car in person one of these days!

What kind of spark plugs are in it now, and how many miles are on them? Maybe you just need a new set of what you have, that MSD ought to fire a plug immersed in oil,,,,or so they say!

Excellent looking car. Love the combo of stance, color, and the minilites. Thanks for posting and welcome to the board as a poster.

Thanks for the welcome guys....believe current plugs are Bosch W3DPs....have been in for a few years, but mileage on them that isn't a ton....all cylinders are firing, but you can tell just a little something is missing/hesitant around 2-2500 rpm. Also been having issues with the engine lid latch recently....pull the cable and it doesn't pop....have to almost press down hard on the lid, while it is shut, hear it clunk into place, and then when you pull the cable it will pop open....any thoughts?
