    Oil breather hose

On the 1972 model, there are 3 different lengths of oil hose, all starting with the same parts number range, being a 645 mm (901.107.394.00), a 400 mm (901.107.394.03) and a 470 mm (911.107.394.04). On the drawing number 36, 37 and 38.
Looking for replacement parts, it is more easy to find the longer hose (the 645 mm) and at better prices than the shorter ones.
Can i just buy the 901.107.394.00 and cut them at length to replace the 400 and 470 mm hoses? Or is this a different kind of quality or diameter? Or is cutting yourself not the best cutting method?

Use a sharp PVC pipe cutter, works well.
