1990 BMW E30 M3 With pictures! Sterling Silver over Grey 93K miles asking $30k OBO

    Hello All
First, just like to apologize for my previous m3 for sale ad with no pictures, when I realized I couldn't post pics from my ipad, I thought I deleted the thread, apparently not Too much wine on that particular night I guess.
I am selling my 1990 E30 M3 in Sterling Silver over grey interior. She has 93k miles on her, and a fairly fresh repaint in original sterling silver. My understanding is that there were only 40 us spec e30 m3's produced in sterling silver over their entire production run. I bought the car aprox. 4 years ago, from a member on this forum, Longranger(epic Alaska trip was done in this car.) When purchased, paint was good for a driver, but about 3 years ago some SOB kids decided to lift up her cover and egg her on 4 different panels. I was out of town so the egg F'ed up the paint in those spots, so that was too much for me, and I began the process of exterior restoration. I have photos from before paint, during paint, and after paint. Along with paint, all of the trim was replaced or restored, and she emerged bright and shiny after 12 months at Concord BMW collision center. Currently the car is running on 16" BBS RS wheels, in decent shape, also comes with original 15" wheels. Every panel matches with vin tags, engine is the original engine as is transmission. There are three things on the car that do not match, the oem sport evolution spoiler with flap(original spoiler is in box and will be included), the rear bumper which is an oem euro spec bumper( original is in box and will be included), and the front bumper which is an oem sport evolution front bumper with integrated brake ducts w/out tubing) original was cracked and is not included with car. It became cracked due to an incident with a car backing up in a parking lot, only damage to front bumper occurred, and as I said, all other panels match with vin tags. Car is in great mechanical shape, exterior is in great shape, interior is in very nice original shape as well, there is some wear on original seat bolsters, more so on drivers seat than on passenger seat. No tears in seats are present. I won't rate with numbers, as I hope the current pictures, and next group of pictures will show actual condition of everything. I've put a good amount of money into this car, but have not put a lot of miles on her. I purchased the car with just under 90k miles, so I've put about 3K miles on her in four years, sort of going the opposite direction as Rick did with the car in his hands, I'm kind of ashamed with myself for not driving her Title is clean and clear, I will have to check carfax, I have no idea if my two incidents show up, getting egged, and bumper bender, but I believe in full disclosure whether they do show up or not. I purchased the car for $19000, I put in around $13k for paint and exterior trim replacement/refreshening, $3k in additional parts that were not original to car(SE rear spoiler with flap, supersprint exhaust, chip, SE front bumper was $1500 more than a stock us spec bumper, but I liked the look more and was going for an SE clone to some degree. $4k+ in maintenance, exhaust manifold bolts had sheared off in block so had them center drilled and removed/replaced along with some other mechanical maintenance items, have paperwork for all expenses under my ownership. Exhaust is supersprint,( I believe I have original in a box but will have to check, also suspension is not stock, I will have to check paperwork to see exactly what it is, I remember Kmacs and some other upgrades that Rick or previous owner had done. Chip is a Turner/Conforti. I believe paperwork only goes back as far as Rick's ownership, but will double check to see exactly how far back it goes. Of course I understand that what I put in $$ is not what I will get back, but it does show what one can expect with the car, to some degree at least. All gauges work, all windows work, sunroof works, shifts smoothly and makes good power. As far as I'm concerned, she needs nothing to be a wonderful driver and a wonderful looker. I have tons of extra e30 m3 parts, they are not included, but certainly could be had for an additional cost if buyer is so inclined. I will add more info later today, feel like I am rambling at this point. Any questions please post, or pm, or email. Email is hs_wolff(at)hotmail.com. Asking $30k obo. Car is located in Northern California.
    thanks

Will post more pics shortly, last 2 pics show car with evo II front bumper, actually forgot about that, I may in fact have original front bumper, will check, as it's the evo II front bumper that was damaged by the car in reverse.

    Hey, Spencer . . . .

    Time to move on

Great car. I personally put just over 50k mi on this one, in the ~4 years I owned/operated it . . . including My Longest Drive . . .

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ghlight=alaska

Some details. Suspension I fitted was Eibach Sportline springs + bars w/ KONI single-adjustable shocks, Turner shock + stabilizer mounts + sub-frame re-enforcements (all weld-ins), and, if I recall correctly, Ground Control rear shock mounts. I built the thing to use. Hard. ICBMW. All my work was done by Bavarian Professionals, Berkeley, CA

    http://www.bavpros.com/

(Guys are nuts. Ever heard of a garage where a Yalie runs the Store? If you ask for Nat . . . he'll probably still remember the car)

Also, regarding the color . . . had the lowest known VIN w/ Sterling Silver

Good luck with the sale, Spencer . . .

And PS --- Never a 'beater' --- this pic is after Alaska. Tough, tough cars

Thanks for the info Rick! I don't want to sell her, but I need space and as you can see, I don't drive her enough, not like she wants to be driven.

Tremendous write-up ... this how all cars should've sold.

Sorry to see you cutting her loose, but good luck with the sale and I hope you get $40K.
