What is the correct oil cooler for a 1973E?

What oil cooler did they use in 1973 on the 911 e? Trombone? And what size fittings would that be?
    Thx

There would have been no factory standard cooler other than the one on the engine itself. I believe the car could have been ordered with the 'S' cooler as an option though. In this case, it would have been the "trombone" with the large fittings.
Got one you'd like to sell me?

I believe the factory trombone was only installed standard on AC cars and optional otherwise, at least for T/E/S. Is that correct ?

Correct in that it was optional in the US, standard on euro 'S', AC wasn't a factor. Plenty of AC cars w/o front coolers out there.

BTW. NICE window sticker! My car was originally delivered to New Orleans also. What was the 'redacted' dealer name?
Gotta love the $110 up charge for Sportseats. Happy my PO ordered with these... heck why not @ $110

So was that cost cutting/exchange rate management or did Porsche feel that our highway speeds didn't warrant an oil cooler ? Because surely much of the US is hotter than Europe, and US cars would have benefitted from an oil cooler ?
I don't have one, nor is there one listed on my LOA from Porsche, but I am contemplating adding one, given we have had a record number of days ove 30C this summer.
