What 911 does this gauge go to?

I have this NOS VDO gauge. I figure it is for a European 911 bc it is Celcius.

I don't recognise that temp gauge right off the bat. Need a picture of the back. It should have some markings and probably a date stamp, as well.

Looks like part of a late 70's and early SC gauges back when you "really" didn't know what temperature the car was running. Kept folks from asking too many questions. I've even heard of "limiting devices" wired in to keep the needle down. Never saw one "only the rumor".

White is good and red is bad. Essentially and idiot light.

    Looks like the gauge is marked . . . scale starts @ 30 C (?), then the red starts @ '156.7 C,' ends @ '170 C'

Good guess, but I don't think so. I still don't recognize it.
Pictured are a few temp gauges including ones from the late 70s and into the late 80s

I can't tell exactly what years, but I seem to remember that in the eighties we did a lot of non numbered gauge replacements for numbered ones. That looks like the gauge that was removed, and then for storage purposes stuck in the box the new numbered gauge came in.

It looks very similar to the one on my '70 T.
My guess is it's a replacement for this style.

Here's a pic from the.samba that looks like my gauge

The markings on that gauge are not like anything I remember seeing. It may have come in some ROW 911, I suppose.

The VDO numbers on the box in the photo show up in a 1993 VDO parts list under Porsche = p/n 911 641 103 90. Sorry, I don't have model reference for that part number with the "90" suffix. Brad
