Exclamation Euromeister Fuchs replicas?? the good, the bad, the clichés

I would love to hear frome someone with first hand experience with these particular wheels? I know, I know, about weight and the "nothing is stronger than original Forged Fuchs" mantra. But are they as strong as, say, cookie cutters or phone dials for example.

I'm trying to find a 17" wheel that will allow me better tire choices than the 16" market currently does, and still look kind of period. Any other advice on cool wheel choices? I would be forever grateful for your help...........thanks.

I don't have first hand experience with Euromeister, but as to your question on other period look wheel choices, I understand Fikse is now, or soon will be, offering the Jeff Alton designed Zuffenhaus 17" forged fuchs replicas as their "specialty series". www.fikse.com/wheels/specialty/

They look pretty spot on and many of the folks that have them have reported being quite happy with them. No idea on prices or delivery times, but from the various threads out there (Pelican etc) about slipped delivery dates for various wheel choices, I know that I'd want a firm indication about them being in stock before pulling the trigger.

Here are some Rotas that a customer had us put on our RSR finish. The only wheel he could find to clear his TT brakes, just barely...
True and round, they just weigh more than most, but not more than the 993 cast wheels that he had..

I put 17" wheels by Lindsey on my car and they look great. They take 16" Fuchs and do their thing. I am pleased.

I just wish I could race on some 17" Replica Fuchs- The tire selection would be great. With my 15's, I'm stuck with Hoosier race tires, not that there is anything wrong with that

The Alton/Fikse wheels are great, but I do not want to spend $3k+ on one set of wheels for racing.
    Thanks,

Harvey, that's exactly my die-lemma, TT Brembos don't allow for much space. I made the 16s fit... well I modified the calipers to fit under 16s with barely a credit card gauge clearance to allow for thermal expansion. 17s should be no problem at all. I kinda wish that I could do an AR or even an aluminum steely look in a 17. Thanks for all the input, the cars and wheels look great.
