66 Engine Bay Decals - Clarification

Have done a search on engine bay decals but still not sure, as info seems to vary quite a bit year to year. I've seen a lot of photos of 65/66 cars with no decals at all and read in one posting Brett Johnsons book said there were none on a '66? So...

Did the '66 come with any decals?
    If so, how many?
Seems there can be as many as 6?
Red border or not? Seems to be a lot of black border stickers. Different year?
    Anybody with a definitive photo?
If it did, where is the best source for authentic?

    Thanks in advance,

Mine is a June 66 build unmolested.

Came with 5 stickers on the rear slam panel, red border. You can see them present in the small photo before the restoration, and then in detail in the second where I have removed them and kept them. Only one refused to come off and I lost the corner!

I sent them to Ake Olsson in Sweden who then copied the one that was different from the 67S versions he had already and got a set from him. He has included an extra one - the one that says the generator and regulator need to be from the same manufacturer.

    Hi,

We carry these in stock and thanks for the note regarding what years we have down on the web site I will update that later.
The Generator Decal changes in 1968 (maybe a little before) and is not model dependant. It changes to Alternator rather than generator. The Tire pressure also changed. We made these originally for a 68 car we restored (pic below) as no one prints these on the correct aluminium. We have to anodised each and every sheet before the decals are then printed. These have also been tested against temperature and degradation from heat cycles and light.

    Thanks

    Alan
