Hi John,
It looks to be a 50s - 60s TWM1 alloy case Twin, made prior to the plastic case Twins TWM2s that were released in the late 60s/70s.
The 4 non original Phillips screws likely housed an Avco small exterior light set; which now looks to have been supplanted by the large central light awning. The 4 original plastic knobs have been replaced by some hand cut brass (?) ones.
The factory decals have long since faded or the case has been repainted black- the correct finish is a 'crackle' matt black. Open and see if the gear carrier is there and the internals.....these are super robust but they need to be mechanically complete.
Cheers
SCK

The back of it should have the Model No and a Serial number and from this you should be able to roughly date when it was manufactured.
heres the rear and numbers , metal case but it has twm2 stamped

It looks like some one swapped the case.
Question. Can you post a picture of the side w/o the small cover? That will show how the original lighting was. There are basically 3 sorts of Twinmasters: early alu early style lighting (TWM1 very low serial number), alu later style lighting (TWM1) and last plastic later style lighting (TWM2).
BTW while at it, are your 2 lenses clear or black w/ a white dot as can be seen on the picture posted by fellow board member "1st".
