WTB- one (1) Fuchs 6X15 alloy wheel

It should be appropriately date code to my 73 911S, stock (no polish) in excellent condition. I need it for spare tire.

Wasn't the spare a 5.5 ? Or are you just going identical to the rest of the wheels ?

Good question, I presumed that the spare was an alloy .... Ideally I'd like to have a matched wheel. Was the spare typically a steel wheel?

Jorg Austin and Sigmund Walter's Porsche 911 Source book lists the spare as a "space-saver wheel" 5.5Jx15
Peter Morgan's book says cross-ply Goodrich space saver, with compressor.
Other sources mention this is a steel wheel.

Obviously someone more knowledgable should chime in here.

We (USA) didn't get the space saver until 74 MY. At least I've never seen or heard of a 73MY US version with one.

Mine is a 6x15 fuchs just like the other 4. I think they went to the space saver with the bigger tank in europe.

This is helpful Thanks. In another consideration, for a severe (heavens forbid) frontal impact, the larger and inflated a tire in the front the better, IMHO.

Just a note, my coa shows it came with the Fuchs. I checked my rims and all 5 are 6x15 date coded 6/73.
