    Thumbs up Alfas at Willow...

Yesterday I went to Willow Springs Raceway to attend the 40th Anniversary of the Alfa Club of Southern California first time trial held back in ‘72.

I went to support my friend Hector shake down his 23 year GT Am tribute project.
Yeah, he’s been working on it little by little as long as I’ve owned my 911....

The car looked great, ran great, and checked out fine for the first time out.........

    Thumbs up

BTW - Hector and I were at the first ACSC time trail at Willow 40 years ago where he won second place (to a Alfa TZ1 - that he now maintains) in his real GTA.

    … and so it goes

Chuck you didn't saunter over to Streets and check out the POC event? Here is a photo of my daughter Georgina and her instructor heading out.

We tooled around the pits at Big Willow during lunch and saw your friends car, I remember the shamrock, as well as some fabulous machines. I remember them also from back in the day when I was driving Bimmers, the Alpinas were usually in front then too!

BTW, was it hot enough for you, had to be 110 in the pits.

    Thumbs up

    Christen,

I was only there on Sat. ... and did go over to the Streets.
Said hi to Mike Hammond, and took a couple of pics.
I was probably right around 100, clear and dry on Sat.

Only one other long hood, besides mine, on Sat.... And that one was pretty 'pumped-up'

    Good for Georgina!!!!!!!!!

    Cheers
