Are theses good shocks for 73.5 911t?

I need new front shocks on my 73.5 911t. I found these on eBay and was wondering they are any good.

    Thanks in advance,

As long as you have a Boge strut, which is likely with a 911T (the strut will be black) They are basically a "normal" shock, not especially stiff, but if yours are worn then they are better.

What kind of shocks would you suggest?

You should determine what are on the car now. They may have already been changed. That would be normal for a car of that age. Look at the rears, generally Boge are black, green are Bilstein and red are Koni. However there are also Bilsteins and Koni's that are yellow. (they are the stiffer versions) The rear is easier to see what the brand name is. We'll have to assume the fronts are the same type and brand, at least they should be! Then you need to decide what you need for your driving style, just normal around town driving a Boge is fine (that's likely what your car came with) Do autocrosses, DE's then a stiffer shock is in order.

I autocross my car but do mostly street driving with the occasional DE. I have Bilstein HD front insert (in Boge Housings) and Bilstein Sport rears. My car is lowered and has 19 mm sway bars front and rear. I like my setup.

When I changed mine, no special tools were used but I needed a big set of Channel locks to hold the washer on the top of the front strut to remove the top nut and a pipe wrench to remove the front strut retaining gland nut at the top of the boge housing. When you pull the old strut, be prepared for a bunch of nasty oil to emerge from the housing.
