    Headlight clarification

    Hi guys would just like to know what headlights I have.the lens shows e1 4487 Bosch .as I'm in the uk and my car is lhd I've been advised to only change the lenses. If this is true what lenses will fit? Thanks.

    If you mean H1s, easy peasy... Bosch #1305614010, pairs available new for about £50 on eBay UK.

    H4s are the same up to the 964 and also readily available, Bosch #1305614005

    Plus, if you want yellow it's MUCH cheaper in RDH than LHD!

    I think the e1 4487 is the earlier asymmetrical lens, also used on 356s.
    Porsche part numbers LHD = 90163111100 or RHD = 90163111101
    The H4 lens should also work with your bulb/housing.

    A 68S should have H1's.

    Did you ever get to the bottom of your chassis number/date of production issue?

    thanks for the info re lights, yes i read the coa the "english way". its written 10/5/67 and over here that would mean 10th may but this is not the way it was meant at the coa office. thanks mo
