FS - Air Filter System for High Butterfly's

I'm thinking of selling my air filter system for the high butterflies. I've been going through all my parts and this is something
I know I'm not going to be using, so rather than sit on the shelf it should go to someone who actually does use their car!

It's a pretty special piece of kit that I've been developing and making over the past 18 months, based on a set of original
50mm SCRS composite manifolds and short trumpets that are collectors items in themselves. They sit in the carriers from
the earlier carburetor car which have been modified and bored out to the high butterfly's 50mm and then the metal airbox
again from the 69-71 era cars sits on top.

This airbox is the one to use as it has a higher more rounded design over the trumpets than the later plastic box so giving
a better air flow. The box itself is very heavily modified with a new back section incorporating an open grill cover and a
fabricated seating flange for the optional K & N racing air filter. The front cover again is redesigned with a new grill and inner
flange to locate the air filter. All new seals, gaskets and bolts are used everywhere and the later larger airbox catches are
utilised for quick release. The box also has the inbuilt fuel squirter tubes if you wanted to rig up a cold start primer button.

It's all been finished off by a specialist powdercoater to a fantastic standard and looks great, it's the best way to protect a
special engine with high butterfly's from ingesting crap, but still look original at the same time.

Here are a set of pictures of the system including one of the SCRS manifolds during their restoration, interesting in that it
shows the aluminum inserts for the 5mm bolts.

Price is $2850 plus the shipping from the UK.
