Early S Reg decal in the window. Looked nice. Looked like a bunch of extra holes in the dash filled with plugs.
Big money for a car purported to have the wrong engine.

Mecum must have a better bar (and opened it sooner) than RM.

Well, I do tend to think of RM as the class act, but that is biased by the fact that they are just down the road from us, still based in the farm community of Chatham. But it is certainly true from many a charity auction we have been to that the wallets open wider with more booze.

It does seem that the excellent drivers cars didn't trade the way the #1 cars did. Do they just lag the market by a bit ? i.e. do people wait to see what the top cars go for and then work their way down ? Looks to me that the driver's cars have hit a plateau for the moment.

I look at it the other way. I think the #1 cars pull everything else up. The #1 cars set the bar. Everything also follows. Six months from we should see a price bump in the really nice drivers.

I believe that's exactly what I wrote. But at 8 am on a Sunday morning, perhaps it was a little foggy ! Yes, I expected the good drivers to lag the #1 market. But with this most recent bump in top prices, even for nonmatching cars, I didn't see the good drivers follow. Perhaps in 6 months they will like you say.
