Badge Placement for 66 rear trunk deck

Can someone give me some guidelines for the badge placement on the engine lid for a 302xxx car?

Previous owner had swapped them out for a single 911 badge up top near the grill. I want to put back the correct lower PORSCHE badge and the angled 911 script. Any comments on dimensions from side edge or from bottom regarding badge locations or hole locations appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Are these the two you are looking to locate the drilled holes for?

If you want to do the angled 911 correctly, you have to make sure you have the correct script. There are two styles that I know off, 53 and 46 mm pin apart. I have no idea when it changed.

I have a 65 in the shop now #622, I'll try to remember to measure pin spacing for you.

Looks like mine are 46 mm. I just bought the badges from Sierra Madre.

Luke, the 65 (300622) pins are the 53mm spread.

Thanks Ed, I always appreciate reading your technical replies - your plug gap advice you gave me earlier was right on.

Where can the 53 mm pins be bought? The only 911 angled badge I could find was at Sierra Madre and I got what I got in the pics above.

Could a 302 car possibly take the smaller 46 mm pin spacing? Is the badge the same size regardless of pin spacing?

Like Richard said above, it appears there was a cut over somewhere, but if the badge is the same size I guess it's not a big deal. Any historians out there?

Here is the current badging on the car as done by PO. I just think the original badges are so pretty and so unique - hence why I want to get them back on.

Paint should be done and I should be ready to mount them next week. Thanks in advance,

When mounted, do they both have the same angle?..I have the one one on the bottom & also have a silver glove box angled 911 script. Not sure where I got the glove box one,is it original or repro?.......Nice picture for comparisons...Cliff
