SOLD & Shipped!!! NIB Hirschman HIT AUTA 2040 Antenna

    SOLD & Shipped. Thanks Henry!

Price reduced to $69, plus shipping (I'll eat the paypal).

This Hirschman HIT Auta 2040 Antenna is NIB, as the photo shows.

AuthentiCity sources indicate that this is the correct replacement for '68 and SWB cars with an automatic antenna (see post below).

My first interest would be an even trade for a non-automatic Hirschman antenna correct for my '68 911.

Failing that, I'll ask $69, plus shipping, or I can deliver to Ski Roundtop on Sept 15. As always, if I'm misguided, I am willing to be educated, but obviously, I got new information from those with greater knowledge and made adjustments. Thank you for that.

    Thanks for looking.

The proper manual Hirschmanns are 75-100 bucks if you get a metal lower mast. So your trade value is fine, though a power antenna should be worth a bit more.

Thank you VERY much for the information. It is appreciated. Do you know the correct model number of the correct antenna, so that I know what I'm looking for in trade?

I'd be happy to trade even in order to offer a good deal for everyone.

    Thank you.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

My 68 came originally with an automatic antenna. Would this be correct for a 68?

According to the research, some '68 911s came with an automatic antenna, but it was on the passenger side, I think.

Yes, my car has the antenna on the right hand side (passenger), and my car's delivery documentation states option code 9297 (power radio antenna).

Currently my car has a black Hirschman power antenna, that I doubt is correct for 68, so I'm wondering if this chromed Hirschman would be correct for 68 or not.

    Price Reduction & More Information.

I just received a message from the vendor, who says that the AUTA 2040 is the correct replacement for the '68 automatic antenna.
Also, according to suppliers and Hirschman, the HIT AUTA 2040 is a universal fit for your car. The Parts Manual identifies "automatic antenna" as part # 901 645 301 03 in the 'Accessories' section, but there is no photo and no other information.

I was told that a Hirschman antenna was correct for my 356A, and I believe it is correct for 911.

And now the good news! Price reduced to $69.
