    66 visor help

    I have a 1966 911 coupe. Both of the sunvisors are Ivory (both sides) and each has a mirror. This car is all original. One of them is torn. Is there any one that can repair/restore these.
    Does anyone make a reproduction? These have the embossed pattern (like 356) vinyl. I have tries all of the usual suppliers but these do not look correct.

    Funny this should pop up today
    I started a reproduction long time ago
    but sadly the guy dooing them for me , an older guy passed away in the middel of the production
    last week I manage to get the material and tooling out of his daughter
    so we are not that fare away , all frames are done got 400 m of the diament pattern material
    they will be expensive, but very time demanding ,and to me knowledge nobody is dooing them

    If it hasn't been posted yet - '65 -'66 visors are different than later ones - no re-pops that i'm aware of.
    That would be great, Marek - it's very difficult to find nice used ones. I'm re - doing mine, and it's a PITA; but I'll post about it if they come out well.

    IIRC, 65 and 66 use a similar ivory vinyl like what was used in 356s...kind of likea recessed diamond pattern.
