I noticed that Porsche Classic has been offering a new "orange" bar crest (even though they call it red). I wonder how good it is? Looks to be $110

I just priced it as 178 CDN, 171 US. A little more than I thought it would be but compared to 500+ for an old original its not too bad at all.

I just ordered one, $161.00. I'll post pics of the front and back when I get it, probably in about 5 days I hope...Oh, and no patina for me, thank you.

You just watch...they'll only make these for a while and then stop, creating the latest "collector's item"...

Porsche Classic when remaking these items makes a lot of them. They will be around for a while. I put the original one back on my freshly painted silver 72S and it looks better than a new gold one. The patina works very well with the silver paint. As well as my Signal Yellow ST looks better with the patina. I will buy a new one though regardless.

Tedious stuff for sure. This is the video they showed at the Parade.

Salt spray? How about acid spray! A weak sulfuric acid based wheel cleaner might do the trick if they are not coated. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH IT! Don't worry about the emblem but do watch out for yourself! The fumes are dangerous. I.E. Use a respirator.
    And gloves and eye protection.
