Yup sold for a hair over $24k, the original buy it now price. I think it was a good deal for both buyer and seller. As stated before you don't find good, solid, and honest early 911s so easily anymore. This was a great example and sold for a very reasonable price.

"thank you" to everyone who expressed interest in the car, or had identification tips. Much appreciated. The car sold for just over $24k. I think it was the right price for this car. Cars with bones this good, just aren't easy to find.

For all those who like to watch the market closely, and are curious about ebay.....
The auction was viewed over 4,000 times. Probably by a lot of registry peeps.
Bidders included person from France, Canada, Switzerland, and Germany.
By the time the auction ended, over 200 people had the auction on their ebay "watchlist".
There were 30 bids on the car...by 17 separate people.
Once the car hit reserve, serious bidding came down to 7 people.
The winning bid came with 9 seconds remaining.

yup - I was one of those lurkers, and almost pulled the trigger several times. This was a very interesting thread and I followed it closely as I'm currently actively searching for my first early P-car. I learned quite a bit on this thread alone. Thanks to everyone that chimed in on all the action. I'm hoping that my patience will pay off soon. Looks like a great car. Good Luck.
