    Mystery door clip question

Can anyone ID this mystery clip? I'm doing some R&R on my doors and this clip fell out as I was removing the left door panel. It's about 1.5 inches long.

At least I think it came from the door. On Pelican recently, a guy was concerned about a rubber bushing that fell off his car. Turned out it was a piece from his jack stand...

Looks like the clip that holds on the distributor cap.

Definitely the same concept- spring steel to hold two parts together under tension. I think it was maybe just sitting in one of the door pockets and fell out when I removed them. Still not sure whether it's a part from the car, but it doesn't seem to be from the door.
