NOS early MOMO Abarth style steering wheel

The diameter is just slightly over 370mm and the wheel is slightly dished. My guess is the date of manufacture is approximately 1966 and possibly it could be pre-MOMO... as in 1964 or '65, prior to the formation of Moretti's company in 1966. It has the infamous R 12707 engraved on the back which is an early Moretti Patent/design number. These numbers only appeared on his very first wheels and not after early 1967.

Carrying the size so many early Porsche enthusiasts covet, it has some subtle details that take it above the typical and less rare Abarth wheel: slightly larger spoke slots; beautiful hand stitching with a cross pattern in white thread; simple spoke pads on all three spokes; and of course, the large diameter.

This wheel has never been mounted on a car but has a few very minor bumps. It is a perfect touring wheel for an early 911. It has a slightly thicker grip than the Monza/Lemans/Elite wheels. This is an amazing old wheel and I hate to sell it.
